Kate debated for four years at Brentwood High School In Nashville, Tennessee. They served as coach and then captain for their team in her junior and senior years. They have qualified for TOC twice and Nationals thrice, placing 16th for PF in Phoenix. Kate loves nuanced stock arguments, as well as theory debate. Many of Kate's favorite debate memories are from partnering with an underclassman during her senior year to guide them through their introduction to the national circuit. Outside of debate, you can find Kate journaling, reading, and making pottery.
