Ava debated for 4 years at Flower Mound High School in Texas. She qualified to the Tournament of Champions twice with 5 career bids, received 8 Round Robin invitations, and notably reached the semifinals of Blake and the quarterfinals of Berkeley and Loyola. In addition to serving as the LD captain and a team officer for 2 years, she mentored students through PepTalk Debate and W.in Debate. As a debater, she primarily read policy arguments and the occasional kritik.
