Hi Everyone! My name is Iyana-Robin Trotman! I am a May 2024 graduate of Wake Forest University, where I debated for three years, and a first-year graduate student at Georgia State University. While a member of Wake Debate, I had 52 career elim appearances, had the highest speaker award in Wake Debate history at CEDA 2021, was the debater of the year for the 2022-23 season, became the youngest person to ever win the National Debate Tournament in 2023, and the third team to unite the crowns with my debate partner, Taj Robinson. I’ve coached 2 Coaches Poll teams, Little Rock BM and BCC SE (2024 NCFL National Champions). I’ve coached college novice & JV teams as well as coached college varsity CEDA Finalists. My background is in Black/Native Feminisms, Critical University Studies, Critiques of International Relations, Afropessimism, Abolition, Performance, Black Literature and Framework.
