Bashir has debated for three years at Iowa City West HS, in which he served as the team Captain for his Junior and Senior year, where he accumulated 9 Bids to the TOC and was ranked as high at second in the Nation. Bashir has extensive experience throughout the circuit, from winning Bingham to breaking into late elimination rounds at Blake, Apple Valley, Dowling, Mid America Cup, Cal State Fullerton, NSDA Nationals, Badgerland, Columbia, Georgetown, and most notably Semi-Finaling the TOC. Bashir specializes in technical debates with an emphasis on critical literature, but also enjoys rhetoric based lay debate.
