Charles Zenhausern debated for Harrison High School (NY) and currently attends Brandeis University, majoring in Sociology. In just two years of debate, he reached semifinals of and placed 3rd at NCFL Nationals, in addition to winning the novice divisions of NDCA Nationals, the New York State Championship, and Colleyville Heritage, as well as the JV division of the Glenbrooks and the varsity division of Lakeland. Additionally, he was in elimination rounds at Princeton and Penn, received the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All-American award, and was ranked the #8 LDer in New York State by the NSDA. Charles enjoys both Ks and traditional debate, and particularly likes teaching the fundamentals of debate through a critical lens. A frequent judge on the national and local circuits, he’s excited for his second year working with NSD students!
