Starting as a freshman, Shaun has been debating for 4 years. In his 1 year debating on the national circuit he collected 2 TOC bids, alongside reaching Octofinals of UPenn, Georgetown, and Milo Cup. Most notably, he broke at Gold TOC, won the inaugural Northern Virginia (NOVA) Round Robin, and finished the regular season ranked within the top 50 nationally. Locally, he has finished top 4 of regional finals 4 years in a row, winning in his senior year with only 1 ballot dropped. Additionally, he has qualified for NCFL Grand Nationals twice in a row, breaking his junior year. He specializes in tech debate, especially case writing, round vision, strategy, and backhalf speeches. He has been coaching his school team since sophomore year, and had coached for Outreach Debate during his senior year. Next year, he will be attending UC Irvine to study Mechanical Engineering and Political Science.
