Armaan co-founded the Alsion Montessori High School debate team in Fremont, California, and competed in Varsity Public Forum for four years, earning nine bids—seven gold—to the Tournament of Champions (TOC) and achieving a peak national ranking of #4. He qualified for the California State Championships and broke to elimination rounds at the Gold TOC. His tournament highlights include championing the Milpitas Invitational twice, championing the Jon Schamber Invitational at UOP, reaching semifinals at Stanford and Presentation, and advancing to octofinals at Berkeley. Armaan excels in traditional flow and lay debate styles, particularly enjoying technical framework-driven arguments such as structural violence. While less familiar with progressive argumentation like Ks and tricks, he has successfully run basic theory arguments, including disclosure, paraphrasing, and full-text.
