Dasha Smirnova debated for Bronx Science for four years and will be attending Columbia University in the fall. At Bronx Science, she was novice director her junior year and captain her senior year, overseeing 196 members at biweekly practices. In her debate career, she reached elimination rounds at Edie Debates, Durham, Ridge, Scarsdale, Yale, and Lakeland. Her junior year, she championed Durham Cavalier Invitational and was a semi-finalist at the Tournament of Champions in Silver Public Forum and her freshman year, she championed NYSFL States. Dasha's debate interests span from narrative debate to Kritiks and progressive argumentation. She has a year of experience working at Lumos Debate as both a summer camp instructor and yearly instructor.
