Zach debated for four years at The Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY, serving as team captain his senior year. Over the course of his career, Zach accumulated 13 gold bids, qualifying to Gold TOC his sophomore, junior, and senior year. Zach championed the Apple Valley Minneapple Debate Tournament and the Byram Hills Invitational, co-championed the New York City Invitational, finaled the Blake Round Robin, and reached semifinals at the John Edie Holiday Debates Hosted by The Blake School (2019 & 2020) and the National Speech and Debate Season Opener hosted by UK. He was also consistently ranked within the top-3 teams in the country during his junior year and consistently reached deep outrounds at tournaments like Princeton, Glenbrooks, and UPenn. He was also a top-5 speaker at various tournaments such as Harvard and the New York City Invitational. As a coach, Zach’s teams have amassed several bids and championed the Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate Tournament. Zach was twice in DDA’s Epsilon lab, championing the camp tournament prior to his senior season, and he couldn’t be more thrilled to teach the next generation of Delta students!
